Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy Update: License Renewal
The following is from the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy regarding license renewals.
"The Georgia State Board is not able to provide an estimated timeframe at this time related to when license renewals that are in "License Renewal-Pending" status will be completed. Please know that we are working diligently to do so prior to the end of the lapsed-late renewal period (February 28, 2020).
It is always helpful for licensees to please check their CE and dry needling accounts for accuracy and completeness to include:

1)  Ensuring that the name of the activity and the hours awarded for that activity matches the activity name and hours listed on the certificate of completion;
2) Activities are recorded within the appropriate accounts (CE and/or Dry Needling);
3) Activities are recorded into the appropriate section within aPTitude (Ethics and Jurisprudence in separate section than other hours required;
4) The name and license number on the aPTitude account matches the name and license number that the Board has on record;
5) All hours equal up to the amount required in accordance with Board rules; and lastly,
6) If the license is on hold for reasons other than dry needling or continuing education audit, ensure that a signed (with official, handwritten signature)and detailed letter of explanation and certified documents have been submitted to the Board office.  If the individual answered "yes" or "no" to a question in error, a signed (with official, handwritten signature) letter of retraction explaining that error must be submitted.

If each of the above things are done and complete, it ensures that renewal is not further delayed and no deficiency notices will have to be issued."
